Welcome to Miami?
Miami. What an interesting place. I'll first brief you on my thoughts of the city, and why the hell i was there.
Miami - For those of you who have been to Dallas and thought the people were pretentious, you need to check out Miami. It makes Dallas look like a Pinto. Maybe it is just the places we went, but a lot of things were very expensive (For example. We went to a very swanky bar, and I wanted to get two bud lights. I figure that would be 10 bucks... so i go on and order four. 32 bucks. aka, 8 dollars for a bud light. Not normal... and i digress). Anyway, I know for sure that Miami is not a place I would choose to live. Visiting is ok, living, not so much.
So why was I in Miami/Ft Lauder dale? My roommate had a little birthday party and invited myself and his other good friends. The following is my interpretation of what happened while I was in Miami... backwards.

I was molested my a mannequin at a store that sold jeans for $250... I just don't understand how their denim is any different from the GAPs denim. Please explain.
We begin the shopping trip on South Beach by posing withs a sign about bawls. I believe they misspelled bounce.

The night ended at pretty cool restaurant called... well i don't remember what it was called. Needless to say I had nothing to drink (you will learn later why). I had the Salomon.
Walking to the restaurant, Phil thought it would be funny to take a picture from up high.... very nice.
Saturday afternoon was spent at the beach. I showed off my latest party trick... hula hooping. I challenge anyone, and i will crush you like an ant.
As you can see below, I drank way too much on Friday night.

I sang like a rock star (scary) and partied like one too. Very drunk at this point. We continued to party until 4 am after the limo ride. Holla.
I got very confused at one point in the night and thought I was a model. Here is my new pose, it's called "Black Titanium"
This one is called "Look at my butt, my butt, my butt, my butt"
This is the most artistic one, most commonly known as "I piss in the Atlantic Ocean, Beat it"
You can make up a name for this one if you want.
Surprise... i like the open mouth smile
Do not attempt to flip your computer around, this picture was taken upside down. For some reason i thought it was the coolest thing at the time.
Dinner at the hella nice restaurant. Food was good. Service nice. Company... great.
Posing at the restaurant. Pretty sober at this point.
Prior to getting to the restaurant, we had to fix our hair and have a few beers so we could try very hard to fit in with the miamians..
Chillin in the back of the limo on the way to the restaurant.
This is how we do it.
We get into the limo and proceed to South Beach. NO alcohol has been consumed for me at this point.
Waiting for girls to get ready and chunking the deuce.
Overall, the trip was great. the end.

Weekend Wrap It Up...
It was another crazy weekend... but for sooo many reasons you don't even know. Friday I went to a nice little dinner at Sals with my friend D, we split a bottle of wine. That was supposed to be the end. However, some of Drew's friends were at the Ginger Man... so we went there for a couple beers. That was also supposed to be the end. My roommate showed up and we decided we needed some grapevine action. So we headed to the G-vine for some late night fun times.
Saturday was the big Cystic Fibrosis Pub Crawl. I put a team together with 9 other folks:
As you can see, we dressed up in crazy hats and mustaches. Which made us a reasonably big hit amongst the other crawlers. I was lucky enough to be Robin Hood and at one point i got to be a cowboy (the 5 things listed on my sleeve are the bars we went to, in a particular order).

I did some long pour chugging, which was interesting...
And i got a little wet...

Apparently I ate some candy off a girls candy necklace.... GROSS!

By the end of the crawl... apparently i was a liar that knows gang signs with pizza sauce on my shirt

All in all, we had an awesome time that i recommend to anyone and everyone. We had several crazy chugging contests and lots of people loving the staches.
Later that night my roommate and I had a party at our place for his bday. We ended up staying up forever, and i had a little too much to drink. My drunk hula hoop skills entertained people for a while. All in all, good times.
Next post will contain pics from miami a few weeks ago... wait for it.

Where you been
It's Monday morning after a quick but fun weekend and i realized that its been a while since Gekius has posted. This is what it has been doing.
- Last Friday I was asked by a fellow hockey player if i would like to help coach a Bantam A hockey team in Plano. I thought about it for a few hot minutes, and next thing i know, I'm an Assistant Coach. Not a lot of responsibility or anything, mostly just helping with drills in practice and running the defense during games. So in a way I'm a defensive coordinator with a nice salary. I'm going to have to attend 3 all day training classes in September so that i can be level 3 certified. Should be fun to see how well i do, especially since kids still kind of freak the hell out of me.
- This Friday I'm going to Fort Lauder dale/Miami for a few days to celebrate my roommates birthday. I still need to get him a present, although i have a good idea what i want to get him. We shall see.
- Work has been going very well, although I'm in Fort Worth, the work is very busy and challenging which is what I love.
- I'll be booking my flight to Argentina this week which is very exciting. I'll be going in April of next year and hopefully the trip will go smoothly.
Other then that, not too much has been going on. My room needs a good cleaning, but i figure there is always time for that later. This is where I've been. Peace.
