ebay kicked my ass last night

So last night I was trying to do anything but work. So I started cruising eBay. From there I ended up looking at my past reviews from other buyers/sellers, and found someone that I bought two paintings from a long time ago. I decided to check if the guy was still selling stuff on eBay, and low and behold, he was. I cruised through some of his stuff, and decided that I liked one of them and it was a reasonable price. 64.99 for a four canvas collected art piece. So I bid 100, reserve not met. At this point, i became more obsessed with wanting to know what the reserved price was. If you do not understand Reserve Prices, basically, a buyer cannot win until they bid a minimum amount that is set by the seller (this amount being the reserve price). At this point, I begin to increase my bid, until I hit the reserve price. Eventually, I bid 200. Well, I hit it. The reserve price was actually 179.00. With 20 minutes left in the auction. I felt for sure, that someone would surpass my bid. And someone came very close, uping my payment up to 194.50 (I'm a little suspicious about this, and believe it might be insider selling, but oh well). Anyway... 194.50 later, I'm the proud owner of the following painting:
