Here is an excerpt from the email:
"GIFT EXCHANGE:
Around 12:00 we will begin the Chinese Gift Exchange. If you choose to participate in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift ranging $10-$20. There will be a table in the middle of the room for the gifts. "
....So here are my problems with the email above:
1. "Christmas Luncheon" - There have to be people here that do not celebrate. I believe the PC term is "Holiday Luncheon"
2. Chinese Gift Exchange - I know i'm not chinese, but if i were, I might be a little offended when i learned how this "exchange" is actually played.
Just my thoughts... but someone might want to forward this to HR.
