This morning as I did my typical Tuesday morning routine... aka... boarding a plane that did not have any mutha fuckin snakes on it, i noticed something that i normally don't. Why is it, that seat A is on the right side of the plane, and seat F is on the left side of the plane. As i walk through the middle of the plane, i start to think that as Americans, we read from left to right, and typically we do things in alphabetical order. So tell me this, why isn't seat A on the left side of the plane and seat F on the right side.
Think about it.

Just a guess but its been a few months since I've had to fly so I could have this completely backwards...
Think about walking down the aisle as you board the plane trying to find your seat. Just like reading, you would habitually look to your left side (the right side of the plane) first and then to your right (the left side of the plane). The letters would appear in order.
Now after you take your seat you would be correct. Looking back down the aisle everything is flipped, but no one ever looks for a seat as they leave a plane.
